World Cup Tournament
Enniskillen, Ireland August, 2006
This was Regina's first World Cup event. Although eligible to compete in all the World Cup tournaments, this was the first time she was able to participate over the past two years because of her scholastic activities at the University of Louisana at Monroe (College of Pharmacy) and summer pharmacy internship.
These photos feature Regina and most of the field of competitors, along with some of the officials (Jeffry & Ralph Armstrong, Roy Collins, Nikki Lee, John Wilson, Des Burke-Kennedy, Kuno Ritschard, etc.).
Regina placed 4th in Jump & Tricks, falling early on a W5B in the finals after leading the field by over 1,000pts. in the Preliminaries. She finished 6th in Slalom, with an uncharactericstic fall mid-course at the 12m line.
Javier Julio stole the show with his amazing performance in Slalom during the Prelims. Javy borrowed Sarah Green's slalom ski....since he was without his....and finished a respectable 6th place with a score of 2 @ 11.25m. Normally this placement would have moved him into the finals.....unfortunately for Javy, there were about 5 other guys tied at that position...and according to World Cup rules, you go by the person who was seeded highest, which put Javy out of the finals....but an amazing performance anyway!
Check out the yellow MasterCraft with all the Trick finalists on board. It is powered by a Volkswagen Diesel engine...which may be the wave of the future.
