::  Question (10/26/07)

How would you recommend studying for an accounting class? Or would it just be better to sit next to someone who is smarter than me and look off of her answers?

-Joel Bohlin

:: From Regina

Don't I know you, Mr. Bohlin?  I think you were the guy in my accounting class that copied off me....problem is, I know little about accounting, so I probably was not the best person to copy from...:)  Go ULM!

:: Question (10/25/07)

Do you remember me?  I met you down in Florida at the 2006 US open finals in Walt Disney World?  I had you sign a T-shirt and my dad took a picture of you and me together.  I have that picture hanging up in my bedroom.  I also saw you and your family leaving the resort,Port Orleans Riverside, and me and my dad approached you to say hi.  You were on your way to go to the competition.  You are my favorite athlete and someday I wish to be just like you.

I know that you are probably too busy to email me back, but if you have the time, can you please email me back!

BTW

Do you ever get tired of water skiing?

-Marissa Graziano

:: From Regina

Thanks, Lisa!  I emailed you back and posted the photo you sent me on my Intro page in the animated file....you are special and I hope to see you on the water soon...maybe down at Cory's?

I haven't got tired of skiing yet.....usually can not wait to get back on the water!

::Question (04/06/07)

How often do you train with your Coach and Mentor Cory Pickos?

-John McReynolds

:: From Regina

During the school year, I try to get down to the Pickos Ski Center just about every break from class.  When school is out, I live there and ski with Cory every day.  He is an awesome coach and motivator.   Javier Julio works with me as well.  We are all Team Pickos!

:: Question (03/06/07)

How many times do you do a trick before you put it in your run?

-Eric Reynolds

:: From Regina

I am a bit of a perfectionist.  I probably do a trick 500 times before I think I have it down.  Seriously, I have to be confident that I can do a trick  9 out of 10 attempts before putting it into my run at a major tournament.

:: Question (01/12/07)

Your collegiate water ski experience must have been incredible, breaking every record in every discipline both at the National and World levels....and winning two National Championships with ULM during that time.  How can I go about getting into collegiate skiiing when I am ready to go to college?

-Carlos Ribelles

:: From Regina

My NCWSA collegiate experience was the most rewarding time in my life.  I would encourage anyone going to school to get involved with the NCWSA.  It is easy to do...just go to www.ncwsa.com and follow the info on the web.  You can find contacts for all the collegiate teams...or you can start a team of your own!  While I skied well enough to break a few records and make the All American team every year, the most rewarding experience was competing in the NCWSA National Championships...and capturing the National title twice with my ULM teammates.

BTW, Carlos...I still have one more spring semester of eligibility left.  I am redshirting again this spring because of my class schedule, but look for me to represent ULM one more semester starting in 2008!  We also have a World University Championship in Beijing in 2008...and I hope I make the USA team again!

:: Question (01/10/07)

What was it like to win your first Elite World Championship at the age of 16?  It must have been awesome and you just keep on winning, with four individual and three team Gold Medals in three World Championships!

-Christina Hernandez

:: From Regina

When I was little I always dreamed of winning the Worlds.  To have that dream come true when I was 16 was really hard for me to believe!  The 2001 Worlds was very special because it was only two weeks after the tragedy that occurred on 9/11.  Cory brought me back to reality pretty quick and started my training for the next Worlds...which meant working even harder on the water.  Stepping up on that podium while representing your country and hearing the Star Spangled Banner....those are memories that I will never forget.  I can remember every one of those trips to the podium just like it was yesterday.

:: Question (01/08/07):

So many young skiers look up to you as a role model.  How do you feel about setting the example for the next generation of athletes?

-Brian Lynn

:: From Regina

It is awesome to know that young people look up to me as a role model.  I have had my own role models when growing up, and they inspired me to become a champion like they were in my eyes.  I can only hope the next generation will love the sport as I have.  Passion for something can be endless and the sky is the limit!
