PRESS RELEASE: World
Champion Regina Jaquess Donates to Locks of Love
December
30, 2005
During
the Holiday break from the College of Pharmacy at the
University of Louisiana at Monroe, World Champion athlete Regina Jaquess
donated over 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love, which is a
non-profit organization dedicated to providing hairpieces to children
suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Locks of Love's
mission is to return a sense of self confidence and normalcy to children
suffering from hair loss by providing the highest quality hairpieces made
from donated ponytails. Donations are accepted at participating stylists
across the United States and Canada. Locks of Love is
headquartered in Lake Worth, Florida, close to the Ski Club of the
Palm Beaches and the most fantastic water ski facility in the world at
Okeeheelee Park.
Jaquess had
been letting her hair grow for the past 18 months for this purpose.
She found out about the Locks of Love program through
friends that had made similar contributions. To find out more
about how you can help support this special effort, contact Locks
of Love through their website (www.locksoflove.com)
or email at info@locksoflove.org.
